Jack says, "Merry Christmas!"
Posted by Picasa
Lissa and Scott dropped by for a visit last weekend. It was wonderful seeing them and spending time with them. We all went up to SF to the California Academy of Sciences. The staff took this picture of us at the entrance in front of a green screen. We logged on the website to check out the photo and they charge $35 for a digital copy! So, we just screen grabbed the page on the website, opened it up in Photoshop, and cropped out everything except the photo and -- voila! -- free digital copy of our visit to the Academy :-)

Climbing the rock wall at Pump It Up!
Making funny faces at the Pumpjama Party at Pump it Up!
Dylan playing the keyboards at Leo's house during Thanksgiving. The cape adds a little Elton John flair.
For the first year ever Dylan told Santa directly what he wanted: a dinosaur train (the *complete* set) and a talking Woody doll from Toy Story.
Look who we went to see today!

Dylan's pre-school class singing Thanksgiving songs. Dylan's in the middle and makes a few appearances in between the pilgrim girls.

Big Time Timmy Jim Lincecum! Dylan went bonkers when Timmy came by and maybe his dad too! We saw all the players and had a really good vantage point, but barely any of the pictures came out. We posted the good ones.
Aubrey Huff. Yes, that's his red rally thong in his hand. He promised he'd have it with him.
Aaron Rowand.
Dylan standing ready at the gate for the World Series parade. It was mayhem. Hopefully, there are more World Series titles in store for the Giants, but we've probably had our fill of World Series parades for a while!

Almost parade time!

Mezes Avenue, across the street from our house, closes down for Halloween (who knew?) and the entire neighborhood has houses like this one. It's a giant block party and great fun!
Brian Wilson and Tim Lincecum get ready to go trick-or-treating. Fear the beard!
Dylan "The Freak" Lincecum!
Great White Jack!

Dyland and Dad had their first ice skating lesson today. We learned how to get up, how to maintain our balance, and most of all how to fall! We had a great time and we're looking forward to the next lesson!

Jerry the Jay Bird. Jerry's a Western Scrub Jay who visits us a couple times a day. When we hear him squawk, Dylan comes running to the window exclaiming, "Jerry's here, Dad!"
Batter up!

Cake time! The cake had four little animals on it and that caused a few "I want!" issues with who got which piece. Dylan decided to take a defensive position right next to the cake just in case!
A few more members of the gang having fun in the sprinklers. From l-r Bianca (Nicholas's little sister); the birthday boy; Nicholas; Leo (one of Dylan's best buds); Keira; and Andrew (Keira's older brother).
Party time! The sprinklers were a big hit. Here's Dylan and his friend, Paul, enjoying the water.
So how old are you again?
The dread Pirate Spike!
Presents!
Guess who's having a birthday??? Seems like, well, only four years ago that our little guy wasn't any bigger than the Roly Poly! Dylan also wanted Lou the Seal (the Giants mascto) in the picture too.

Hanging out in the dugout.
Dylan checking out the field level view from the visitor's dugout. We couldn't go in the locker room since there was a game today and the players were already inside. They said there was a chance we might see one of the Mets, but we didn't.
Dylan checking out the brand new Tim Lincecum bobblehead that was being given away today (at 10 a.m. there was already a line a block long for a game that starts at 7:15 p.m. -- good thing we weren't there for the game!).
Hanging out in the luxury suite during the AT&T Park tour.
Watching the fireworks on TV this year for 4th of July.
Dylan manning 2nd base at Little AT&T Park.
Dylan and Mom in front of Willie Mays.
Dylan and Dad in front of the Willie Mays statue at AT&T Park.

Cannery Row.
Sea Otter.
This is a Laysan Albatross. It's the only captive albatross in any zoo or aquarium in the United States. Her name is Makana and she joined the aquarium after she was found with an injured wing in Hawaii. They bring her out once a day and have her do her calls, spread her wings, and dance. She's about five pounds with a 5-ft wing span. So, she's one of the smaller albatrosses (albatri???).
