Hi,

Just wanted to give an update and let everyone know that we are still waiting! The baby is apparently fine, but isn't in any hurry to arrive. We're scheduled to go the hospital Monday for an induction if nothing happens between now and then. So we'll post more news as we have it - and thanks for all the good wishes!

Mom midway between 37 and 38 weeks. Will we make it to July 20???

This could very well be one of the last belly pics. Taken midway between weeks 37 and 38--full term! If everything goes according to plan we'll have just 18 days from the time this photo was taken until the baby arrives. We're almost too excited to wait that long...

We had a cookout a couple weeks ago that was a bit of a baby shower as well. A whole bunch of our friends turned out and we had a great time hanging out, playing croquet, firing up the grill, and celebrating the pleasant, unseasonal warmth of Seattle.

Here's a partial view of the nursery. We've got the chifforobe (painstakingly hand-finished by Dad with the highest quality Scandinavian non-toxic wood wax finish) with the changing pad on top; an assortment of stuffed animals; a number of bird flash cards (birds have emerged as a dominant theme--check out Rollie Pollie the Rooster next to the teddy bear); a picture of a rocket ship; and the stroller complete with diaper bag. All we need now is the baby to go with it all!
